We follow the National Curriculum using Herts for LearningEssential Writing, with a focus on high-quality literature and alignment with the key messages in the Writing Framework. For phonics, we use the DfE-validated systematic synthetic phonics programme Little Wandle. We support our phonics teaching in EYFS with Montessori language activities, along with Essential Writing and Drawing Club to support early writing skills and develop a love of writing.
