The Governing Board plays a strategic role, monitoring all aspects of our Federation.

Their overall responsibility is to support the Headteacher to ensure the school maintains a high quality of education for all.

Our Governing Board

• plans the Federation's future development, monitoring and evaluating progress

• helps to set and review the Federation's policies

• is accountable for the performance of the Federation to parents and the wider community

• recruits the Headteacher and works closely with her

• makes decisions on the Federation's budget, allocation of resources and staffing

• makes sure the National Curriculum and Religious Education are taught

• decides how the Federation can encourage pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development

• makes sure the Federation provides for all its pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Each Governor is elected for a period of four years by the Parochial Church Council, the County Council, the Parish Council, the parents, the teachers and the Diocesan Education Committee.
